Cooldown

What it does

Lets the first matching notification through, then mutes (or dismisses) further ones within a set amount of time.

Related settings

• Settings → Cooldown actions → Cooldown exemptions

  • “Always cooldown if rule applies” (this is the default)
  • “Only apply if previous notification is still visible”

• Settings → Mute actions → Mute mode

  • Controls how aggressively the mute is applied. If you’re seeing notifications match the rule but are still playing their original sound or vibration then try increasing the mute mode to “high”.

Good to know

• Mute behaviour only triggers for notifications that would have made a sound or vibration.
• Dismiss behaviour mutes instead of dismissing if the earlier notification is still on screen, so you don’t miss it
• Phone calls are never muted.
