Silence actions

Mute

What it does

Stops the matching notification from buzzing or playing a sound. The notification still appears in the notification shade.

Related settings

• Settings → Mute actions → Mute importance level

  • “All important notifications” (this is the default). Only notifications that would have made a sound or vibration.
  • “All notifications”

• Settings → Mute actions → Mute mode

  • “Low”, “Default” or “High”. If notifications match the rule but still play their sound or vibration, try increasing this to “High”.

Good to know

• Phone calls are never muted.
