Custom alert rule isn't triggering

To resolve issues with custom alert rules not triggering, first check the “custom alert actions” section in settings, as various configurations there may prevent rules from activating.

BuzzKill only triggers for important notifications, so silent notifications won’t activate custom alert rules. To fix this, adjust the app’s notification settings to ensure it’s not marked as silent.

However, unmarking silent status may cause a side effect: notifications failing to match your rule will play default sounds or vibrations. To avoid this, return to that app’s notification settings and set the sound to “none.” This approach marks the notification as important enough to trigger custom alert rules while preventing default audio from playing when notifications don’t match your conditions.
