Rules are not triggering / no notification history

Some device manufacturers (such as Xiaomi) have extremely aggressive battery management that prevents apps like BuzzKill from running in the background. This manifests in missing notifications from the history section and rules not triggering correctly. Here are some steps you can take to try and improve it:

• (Xiaomi only) Open system settings, open apps, open BuzzKill and enable “Allow restricted settings”.
• (Xiaomi only) Open the recent apps section, long press the BuzzKill app and press the “lock button”
• Open system settings, open apps, open BuzzKill and disable any battery/power saving options that could prevent BuzzKill from running.
• Open system settings, open accessibility and enable BuzzKill in there

After changing any of these settings, restart your device as that will give BuzzKill the chance to restart. Opening the BuzzKill app will not fix the issue, a device restart is required.
