Muting notifications is not working
Muting notifications is not directly supported by Android devices, but BuzzKill uses various techniques to try to mute them as best as possible.
If you find that notifications are making a sound or vibrating when they should be muting then try:
-
Check that the rule is being triggered. In the history section, look for the notification and see if it says “rule activated” on it. If it doesn’t, then the rule isn’t matching the notification and you may need to adjust your rule.
-
If it is being activated but it isn’t muting it then you can try changing your “mute mode” in settings. There are 3 modes, each with different ways that they can try to mute it.
- Low - This is the least aggressive and requests the notification be muted by the system.
- Default - This will try to snooze the notification temporarily
- High - This will try to snooze the notification and turn on do not disturb mode temporarily
If you find that the notification isn’t being muted then try setting it to “High”.
