How do I select a work profile app?

Android imposes strict limitations on apps communicating between different profiles for security reasons. Because of this there are 2 major restrictions in BuzzKill:

• Apps that are only installed in the work profile will not show up in BuzzKill’s app picker
• BuzzKill cannot be installed in a work profile, only in the main profile. However BuzzKill can react to notifications from apps in the work profile when it is installed in the main profile.

Although BuzzKill can trigger on notifications in the work profile, it may be difficult to create rules based on work profile apps because of the first limitation. Unfortunately it is not possible for BuzzKill to “see” which apps you have on the work profile.

However as a workaround you can try installing the work profile app in your main profile too and then creating the rule in BuzzKill. Once you’ve done that you can uninstall the app from your main profile again, but this time BuzzKill will “remember” the app that it should trigger for and will react to it when the work profile app sends a notification.
